If we were to take on a time machine, you will be able to see that there will always be things which still remain and will constantly be with us no matter what era you belong to- fashion trends.
Fashion statements, as we all know it change depending on the generation it belongs to. Who would not forget the bell bottoms of the 70’s and the ‘hairspraying’ during the 50’s? Clearly, trends do vary but there is always a trend and I believe there always will be especially to the youth.
Whether they belong to the top of the heap or they are part of the almost rock bottom class, the youngsters will more often than not follow trends. Who would want to feel left out anyway?
So if you have a less money than the ‘fashionistas’ you see on magazines and television, you should not fret. There will always be places where good finds are found. Divisoria and night markets usually offer items such as clothes and shoes at lower prices but before actually buying, ‘humingi ka ng tawad’ though you did no wrong. TAWAD. BARGAIN. Ask for a lower price.
Before you take-off to a journey to the center of the fashion world, evaluate. Think first. Cliché s it sounds, look before you leap. Look at your bank account, your wallet and your pocket- if you still have extra money, you can already go your way to the nearest boutique. However, if you don’t have the dough, you can try living with the saying that patience is a virtue. Save your money first, be patient, before you head your way to a shopping trip.
We all want to be fashionable. We want to have that certain sense of belonging and fashion may be able to give us just as that but we should be reminded that no matter how fashion items can make you a head turner, no matter how gorgeous you can be with the right fashion and no matter how fast fashion can turn you into an eye-candy, NEVER FORGET THAT FASHION DOESN’T COME FIRST.
